For hockey moms, adult women players, and female coaches who want hockey explained in a way that actually makes sense.

Hockey can feel fast, confusing, and intimidating — especially if you didn’t grow up playing it or were expected to “just figure it out.”
Too many women in hockey feel behind before they even begin.
We believe learning the game should feel clear, supportive, and possible.

The Hockey Village was created by someone who knows what it feels like to love hockey… and still question whether you really belong in it.
Growing up in the game, I absorbed a lot of the messages girls and women in hockey often hear: that it wasn’t the same, that it wasn’t enough, that you had to prove yourself in ways others didn’t. Those messages stay with you. They shape how you see yourself, how confidently you ask questions, and whether you feel like you’re allowed to take up space in the sport.
Over time, I realized something important: the problem wasn’t that women were behind. The problem was that hockey is often taught in a way that assumes you already know it. That leaves so many hockey moms, adult women players, and female coaches feeling confused, intimidated, or like they’re the only ones trying to catch up.
The Hockey Village was built to change that.
This is a place for clear explanations, supportive learning, and honest conversations about what it feels like to step into hockey when you don’t want to be judged for what you don’t know. It’s a place where learning the game and belonging in the game go together.
You don't need confidence to start
You don't need to know everything to belong
Questions are part of learning
Learning later does not mean learning worse
Hockey should feel inclusive, not intimidating

who are learning the game later in life

who want to understand what’s happening in games

who want to lead with clarity and confidence

We break hockey down into simple, supportive learning:
Build confidence before pressure takes over
Learn what you need without overwhelm
Understand the flow before memorizing every rule
